Between 4:02 AM and 6:08 AM PST, we experienced increased error rates and latencies for AWS Direct Connect APIs in the US-EAST-1 Region. Connectivity over existing Direct Connect connections was not affected, however, customers may have experienced delays using the Direct Connect console and APIs during this period. The issue has been resolved and the service is operating normally.

We continue to work towards resolving the increased packet loss impacting AWS Direct Connect connectivity to the US-EAST-1 Region. Direct Connect connections from the Equinix DC1 - DC6 and DC10 - DC12, Ashburn, VA and CoreSite VA1 and VA2, Reston, VA locations are affected by this issue.
Informational message: Network Connectivity
Connections in the CoreSite VA1 and VA2 (Reston, VA) location, and some connections in the Equinix DC1 - DC6 and DC10 - DC12 (Ashburn, VA) location are inactive. Inactive connections are not receiving routes advertised from Direct Connect routers. We are now working to restore service on these Direct Connect connections. The AWS VPN service is operating normally and may be an alternative for some workloads.

Between 6:23 AM and 10:26 AM PST on March 2, 2018, some customers in the CoreSite VA1 and VA2 (Reston, VA) Direct Connect location and the Equinix DC1 - DC6 and DC10 - DC12 (Ashburn, VA) Direct Connect location experienced a connection loss to the US-EAST-1 Region. The issue has been resolved and the service is operating normally.

Informational message: Inaccurate BGP Status
Between 11:25 AM PDT and 11:50 AM PDT we incorrectly displayed the BGP status for virtual interfaces on Direct Connect connections in the US-EAST-1 Region. Despite the status, customers' virtual interfaces were not impaired and continued to send and receive traffic normally. The issue has been resolved and the service is operating normally.

Between 11:13 AM and 11:22 AM PDT we experienced network connectivity issues for some Direct Connect connections from a single Direct Connect location to the US-EAST-1 Region. The issue has been resolved and the service is operating normally.
