ExpressRoute - Japan East, Australia Southeast and Southeast Asia – Advisory

Starting at 23 Nov 2015, 01:00 UTC a subset of customers using ExpressRoute in Japan East, Southeast Asia and Australia Southeast may experience connectivity issues between their Azure and on-premises resources. Engineers are continuing to investigate potential root cause for this issue, and the next update will be provided in 2 hours, or as events warrant.

Starting at 23 Nov 2015, 01:00 UTC a subset of customers using ExpressRoute in Japan East, Southeast Asia and Australia Southeast may be experiencing connectivity issues when connecting their Azure resources to their on-premise resources. Engineers have identified a potential root cause and are examining options for mitigation. The next update will be provided in 60 minutes or as events warrant.

App Service \ Web App, Service Bus, SQL Database, HDInsight, Media Services, Azure Automation, Virtual Machines, Stream Analytics and ExpressRoute- Southeast Asia - Partial Service Interruption

Starting 27 Oct 2015, at approximately 10:51 UTC, a subset of customers in Southeast Asia may be experiencing impact to their Azure Services as a result of an ongoing Networking issue: SQL customers may experience issues performing service management operations. Server and database create, drop, rename, and change edition or performance tier operations may result in an error or timeout. Engineers have also determined an impact to a subset of customers attempting to connect to their SQL Databases. HDINSIGHT customers may experience failures when attempting to create new HDInsight cluster. Existing HD Insight clusters are not currently impacted. MEDIA SERVICES customers may experience stalling on their media encoding jobs. Engineering are continuing to investigate the impact to the remaining services. WEBAPP customers may be experiencing 503 or timeout errors. VIRTUAL MACHINES customers will be unable to connect to their resources. SERVICE BUS customers will be unable to access their resources. AUTOMATION customers will be unable to submit automation tasks. STREAM ANALYTICS customers will experience jobs failing. Customers will also be unable to create new jobs. Retries may success but this will not always be the case. EXPRESSROUTE customers may find connections to some VNets are lost. STREAM ANALYTICS customers may find that they are unable to start their jobs. REMOTEAPP customers will be unable to create new collections and may be unable to connect to existing collections. APP INSIGHTS customers may have experienced an interruption to their service. Engineers have reported that App Insights customers should now be mitigated. Engineers are engaged and assessing impact to other Azure Services as well as mitigation options. The next update will be in 60 minutes or as events warrant.

This includes create, change, rename, update, or delete operations. Existing connections are not impacted by this incident. Additionally, customers should not face issues connecting over ExpressRoute services at this time. Engineers are continuing to apply mitigation. An update will be provided in 60 minutes, or as events warrant.
